Generate purchase orders at reorder points

Operations and warehouse teams manually check stock levels against reorder points and create purchase orders once a product runs low. This reactive process depends on someone noticing the shortage in time, and delays in catching it lead to stockouts and rushed, last minute ordering.

On a scheduled interval, the automation checks current stock levels for each product against its defined reorder point, and when a threshold is crossed, generates a purchase order using the vendor's standard reorder quantity and pricing, sends it to the vendor, and logs the order against the inventory record.

Stock levels are maintained without manual monitoring, reducing stockouts and removing the delay between a shortage and the purchase order that resolves it.
